October 3rd, Dashboard Confessional, solo. I can't wait!

So my mom and I are officially in the process of planning a wedding.
We have booked a reception site, have been looking at churches, and I have a dress!!
It is very exciting, but very stressful at the same time.
So June 28th 2008, I am getting married. It will be mine and Cody's 4 year anniversary!
We still have a lot to do, but it's fun.

So I think my apartment was broken into the night before last.
At 3:30 in the morning my dog was freaking out downstairs, but I didn't really think anything of it. I just calmed him down and went back to bed.
The next morning my wallet was open on my kitchen table and luckily I had no money it.
Our back door can easily be broken into with a credit card and I think whoever was there was scared off by the dog barking.
The worst part was it was one of the nights that Cody was working, so I was home alone.
Anything could have happened, so I'm really freaked out.
But anyways, we are moving into a house on Fantasy Lane on the 15th.
3 bedroom, 2 bath, basement, fenced yard, deck, 2 car garage, security system..awesome..and Meg & Heather are going to live there too, since rent is like $1000.
But I am very excited.

Oh & today is mine and Cody's 3 year anniversary!!

I finally got a new job.
I start tomorrow.
It's Convergys, but it's better than nothing.
Plus Meghan is starting with me.

Cody starts 3rd shift tonight.
Hopefully that will be done soon.

I still haven't decided if I am going back to school in the fall.
I feel like one of those people that I always thought was stupid for delaying school, but now I know why.
I'm not going to go just to go, I'm going to go because I want to and I know what I want to do.
Maybe I will go in the Spring.

I notcied that gradually more and more people I know are getting pregnant and they all graduated within the past 3 years.
I can name like 8 people right now, but I won't.
I couldn't imagine having a baby now or within a year.
It's hard enough taking care of myself and a dog.
I never hear about marriages though..hmm.
Use protection kids.

My cousin Justin is coming Thursday.
He just broke up with his girlfriend so I am going to have to have a party.
Ours neighbors hate us. I know it.
People get really loud when they drink and those walls are paper thin.
And Mario Kart Celebrations can get pretty loud.

I quit my job.
The lady I worked for didn't speak to me and got angry a lot and slammed things like a 2 year old.
I'm getting a job at Legends Bank and I'm going to make GOOOOOOD money.

Jay is back in town!
We get to double date again and I actually get to see Meghan now.

I saw Click and it was great.

Angie is having her baby in like 3 weeks or less and I am going shopping for baby clothes tomorrow..yay! She took my idea and made a onesie with Halo2 on the front and on the back it says "Daddy's Little Sniper" and gave it to Micheal for Father's Day. It was so cute.

I'm kinda tipsy right now and I want to play Mario Kart.

I went to Egypt at the frist last weekend. It was pretty cool. Especially the mummy.

My mom got tickets for The Lion King at TPAC...I can't wait!

Life is good&busy&tiring..but I like it that way.

So I feel like I never see Cody anymore..and it's sad.
What is even more sad is that we are going to spend our Friday night in bed..sleeping.

Jay went to Illinois today and Meghan is leaving on Friday to go to Ohio with Meleighsa..so we have the apartment to ourselves for a while...but we have to dog sit. I am not looking forward to picking up puppy shit.

So about this time last year, Cody and I both went through a really hard time and I really am amazed how something so terrible strenghtened our relationship and that we are still going strong. It will be 2 years in 21 days!!

When Cody went to Michigan last weekend his whole family kept asking him if he was going to marry me. His answer, "Eventually."

My little sister graduated.
I'm very proud of her.
My whole family came.
I found out some bad news about my grandpa.
I'm sure he will make it through.
I hope.

Meg got a Jack Russell Terrier puppy.
Koby and him are great together.
Except when they hump one another.

Cody and I are house sitting/wathcing Kaitlin/dog sitting this weekend.
FUN.

I realized that being "grown-up" is boring.
Work.Home.Eat.TV.Bed by 10.Repeat.
The weekends are spent catching up on..
Sleep.Cleaning.Cody Time.Life.

Cody and I will officially be dating for 2 years in..
1 month and 4 days.
Time really does fly.

This is random and it is getting close to my bed time.
That's sad..it's not even dark yet.

This past week has been pretty good to me.
I had my first full week at a job that I LOVE!..Working with kids is amazing..they learn from everything you do, so you have to be on your toes.
Plus..I'm going to be getting about $220 a week.
Cody is starting work on Monday!..he starts at $9.35/hour!
We have officially been in our new apartment for a week and it's working out pretty good. There have been no fights yet...everyone pitches in and cleans up...it's pretty great.
Oh & I got my 2 year anniversary present from Cody early, but I have to redeem it late. He got me a Dashboard Confessional ticket and Meghan is going with me. It's on July 25th and we got floor seats before they were sold out!!! I can't wait!
Today is Mother's Day and we are taking our Moms to eat..believe it or not..in the two years we have been together our mothers have only talked on the phone ONCE and never actually met in person!! Crazy!

I got a new car today..well "newer." It's a 2003 Silver Ford Focus and I am paying for it myself. I feel so grown up..a new apartment, a full time job, and car payments..all in one week. Maybe I'll get married and have a kid next week.

So I have declared myself "the person who gets shit done."
In two days, I got an apartment and a job that pretty sweet.
I'm going to work at The Settlement daycare, which means I get nights and weekends off, which is fabulouso.

Cody was here this weekend, but left last night..it was sad..it's been almost a year since we spent a single day apart. I'm feeling major withdrawls. I'm going down there this weekend to pack all our shit up and then we get to move!!

I got my new phone and it is adorable. I'm in love with it. I mean I know Razr phones aren't super great, but this one is freaking pink! Oh & Ross showed me this website where you can make your own music ringtones and they can last up to 40 seconds. All you have to do is have the song on your computer..and through the magic of internet, I can steal any song I want. I've made about 1.8 billion ringtones so far and they were absolutely free!

I sat at Waffle House with Ross, Joel, Josh, and Tony last night for like 7 hours. We played this game where you name a band or artist and the next person has to do the same thing with the last letter of the previous one..tunrs out, most bands end in Y, S, E, and N. It came down to a Y word and Josh won, but the sad part is, I don't think "The Yell", which is what he said is a real band and the even sadder part is no one thought of the Ying Yang Twins, but there will be a rematch tonight and I will also conquer the entire world in RISK!

But anyways..Here's some pics of my gorgeous sister and it seems to me that there was a shortage of "poof" in the dresses at prom this year, what is up with that?

We put down a deposit on a townhouse today off Dunbar Cave and we can move in on the 10th!! I can't wait. I had my last two exams yesterday and for some reason I am done a week before everyone else...hmm.

A Year.

I think it's amazing how much can change in a year...

As I talk to my sister about prom and graduation, I honestly can't believe it has been an entire year since I was going through the same things she is now.
& I have to add that she looks drop dead gorgeous in her dress.

The world changes so much in a year..especially when you are out of highschool. I think your first year out of high school is pretty crucial. Things that mattered to me last year and stupid, petty fights I got into seem like the most ridiculous things now and I honestly can't believe how much I have changed in a year.

This past year brought really bad times, which I overcame and I have the best relationship I could ever possibly want. Over the past year I have lost friends, gained friends, and regained friends I had lost. I moved to a new town, away from my comfort zone. I ended up hating it, but I still did it.

& best of all I have grown so much closer to the people that mean the most to me. Meghan, despite her drama, is such an amazing & beautiful person. Ross is still Ross, but that's a good thing, we've been close, so no real change there. & Cody makes everything in my life a billion times better.

So in a few weeks I am making a big change in my life again, I'm moving back to Claksville and living with Cody and Meghan...hopefully I survive.

I've come to a decision, but I haven't gotten to the point where I fully agree with it yet.

Cody & I drove back to Murfreesboro a last weekend and I cried my eyes out the whole way.

A few months ago, I loved my life, but out of nowhere it has changed. I think a change of scenery is what I need. I need an old, familiar place.

I used to love Murfreesboro and everything about it. I thought it was he greatest thing to escape from Clarksville, but after Ross left and pretty much everyone else decided they were going to a different school next year, it lost its appeal. I still love MTSU, but it's not fair to stay there just because of that..it's not fair to Cody or myself.

I know he hates it there...he tells me it's fine, but he lies. He hates his job, he hates not seeing his friends. The weekend Ross stayed with us was the happiest I had seen him in a while & it made me feel bad. Because of me he is there, away from his friends and family and I am too.

I always wondered why people always come back after one year. I'm not coming home because I falied (not even close) or because I couldn't afford it(my rent, cable, and electric have always been paid by Cody & myself)...I'm coming home because of my family and my best friend, but mostly because of Cody. It's selfish of me to keep him there.

So with all that said, I will be attending APSU next year. I have told myself over and over again that a school is a school and it doesn't matter and I have actually started to believe it.

I am looking forward to being with my family more & having an apartment with Cody & Meghan & Jay and going to my parents house for dinner..hah. The school thing I can get over..it's only 3 more years.

Christmas was good to me.
I got to come since I quit the anti-christ that is Wal-Mart.
I got my beautiful puppy.
Cody got an xbox360 because I am such a wonderful girlfriend.
My dad and step mom got me a Tiffany & Co. bracelet & necklace & a $100 walmart gift card!

I figured since it is a new year, I would start writing in this again.

2005 was pretty good to me for the most part, but was pretty shitty to me as well, but it's funny how everything works out.

I want 2006 to be an amazing year.

I want to:

Be a better girlfriend, daughter, and friend.
Balance my checkbook better.
Clean my apartment more & not make Cody do the dishes as much.
Take my dog to the park more..he is getting a little porky.
Eat healthier..no more frozen pizza.
Lose the weight I have gained from living the college life(drinking & eating frozen pizza).
Not work as much.
Actually see my friends at MTSU more than once this semester.
Tell Cody how much he means to me more often..instead of just bitching about him watching football or playing XBOX 360.
Control my spending problem & actually save money.
Call home more.
Be an all around nice person & be happy.

So a lot has happened lately.

I got my final scholarship letter & the greatest thing happened.

I get $2,000 extra dollars this year.

I'm getting paid to go to school & it is wonderful.

Last weekend we moved everything into our apartment.

It actually looks like a real apartment compared to Cody's last too. My mom & Craig worked really hard & it paid off.

Oh & Ross in case you didn't know yet, my parents got new furniture, so Cody & I now have the most comfortable couch in the entire world..I hope that makes up for selling to recliner..hah.

We are not moving in until August 8th...Cody still has to work & we are going to my dad's for a week...but when all of that is over..we will be officially moved in.

I am so excited for school to start...I've never been this anxious for anything.

Our apartment will be ready!!

New paint, carpet, and kitchen floor.

So starting the first week of August..I will officially be a resident of Murfreesboro.

My mom likes to call it "Living in Sin", but she knows she wouldn't have it any other way.

I think living with Cody & having Ross like 1 minute away comforts her.

Opened a banking account today...I feel like an adult.

I'm so ready for college.

But before I can leave, I have to attend a wedding in which my cousin is marrying a man WAY too old for her.

Then a family reunion in Ohio..Cody gets to meet ALL of my family now..it shall be interesting.

Anyway, I'm off the start sorting out all the junk in my room...it will be a long process.

So orientation at MTSU was this past weekend.

Although it was rather boring...it got me very excited.

The campus is WAY bigger than I thought, I was picturing maybe a little bigger than APSU...hah..I was so wrong.

Ross & I were in the same group, so that was cool.

My mom & I looked at 2 apartments, we signed on the second..it's like 2.4358 seconds from campus.

Ross's on campus apartments are super nice & the rest of the dorms look kind of scary.

Cody & I are going to move down there early since we will have our apartment for the whole month of August, but classes don't start until the 29th & I can't wait that long.

All of my classes are in the same 3 buildings right next to eachother..and the best part.

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday-I am done with classes by 10:35.
Tuesdays & Thursdays-9:55.
&
Thursday nights, I have to go back from 6-9 just because all the other classes were filled up, but it's not so bad.

I can't wait, College is going to be amazing.

No pain...No gain.
